Out of town
Wild, protected and silent: a beach of its own
One of the most beautiful beaches in the world, an hour from Catania.

All issuesSpare, untouched, out of the way.
Known locally as “Funni Musca”, it is a sandy cove some 200 metres long, closed off by two rocky headlands that shelter it from the currents. The sea is always calm and clear.
Hidden between Noto and Vendicari, it takes in only those willing to walk to find it. No buildings, no noise. Just the sea, smelling of wind and stone.
In the afternoon the sun catches the rocks like honey.
It may be the closest beach to Catania that can hold its own against the finest in the world. There is no need to fly to the Maldives.
Reachable on foot only, a twenty-minute walk from the Vendicari Reserve car park. A few kilometres from Noto.
No bar. No music. Only sea, and light sliding over the stones.
