Some presences are born light. A line, a gesture, a stylised idea. Our little figure — inspired by Keith Haring — is like that: small, essential, and full of meaning. He lives in the details of Fra le Righe, smiles from one corner to another, keeps company with anyone passing through.
From today that little figure becomes ceramic. He turns into an object, an experience, a tactile memory. He is interpreted by Zagara Pafumi, an artist of clay and fire, who draws a new form of poetry each time out of the black sand of Etna.
The result is an exclusive collection of cups, bottles, small domestic worlds. Black and white. Glossy and matt. Where the little figure holds, welcomes, dances. Where the gesture becomes a rite. Where the everyday lights up with symbols.
Hers is an art that does not make objects, but fragments of home.
Zagara works with memory, bread, ash and intuition. And now she comes in here too, between the lines of this story, with a series that looks like us.
“Every piece I make is an invitation to come home, wherever home is.”
Come and see it. Touch it. Choose it, if you like. One of the little figures may well choose you first.
